What we collect, and why
Name, email and billing address. We need these to process your order and send you your book. We keep them for seven years for tax records.
Shipping address and phone number. Collected only when you order a printed book, and only so it can reach you. Shared with our print partner and the carrier. Kept for seven years for tax records.
Payment details. Handled entirely by our payment provider. We receive only the last four digits and the result of the transaction.
Email address for the newsletter. Used to send recipes and offers, with your consent, until you unsubscribe.
Download activity. Used to confirm delivery and handle refund requests. Kept for two years.
IP address, browser and pages viewed. Used for site statistics and fraud prevention. Kept for fourteen months.
Advertising cookies. Used to measure whether our ads work, with your consent. See our cookie notice.
Who we share it with
We use the following service providers, and each one receives only what it needs.
Shopify Inc. for the store platform, hosting and order processing.
Shopify Payments and PayPal for payment processing.
Klaviyo for email delivery and marketing.
Shopify Digital Downloads for delivery of your digital files.
Lulu for printing and dispatching physical books.
The carrier handling your parcel.
Meta Platforms for advertising measurement, only if you accept marketing cookies.
ManyChat, if you contact us through Instagram direct messages.
Judge.me, if you leave a review.
Our accountants, and tax authorities where the law requires it.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising in the sense of the California Consumer Privacy Act.
International transfers
We are based in the United States. If you order from outside the US, your data is transferred to and processed in the US. Where required, our providers rely on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU to US Data Privacy Framework.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, or stop using it for marketing. Write to support@recipesfromconnie.com and we will reply within thirty days.
If you are in the EU or the UK, you also have the right to restrict processing, to data portability, and to object to processing based on legitimate interest. Where processing rests on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time. You may complain to your national supervisory authority.
If you are in California, you have the right to know what we collect, to delete it, to correct it, and not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights.
Newsletter
If you give us your email in exchange for the free recipe cards, we add you to our newsletter. Every message has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect immediately. We record the date, time and IP address of your sign-up as proof of consent.
Children
This store is not intended for children under sixteen. We do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has given us personal information, write to us and we will delete it.
Automated decisions
We do not make automated decisions that produce legal effects concerning you.
